One of the largest herbivorous dinosaurs for which an almost complete skeleton is known. It differed from other sauropods in having longer forelimbs than hindlimbs, a sloping body from the shoulders to the hips, and a relatively short tail. It was once thought to have lived in water, but is now considered terrestrial because it lacked a diaphragm and would not have been able to breathe if water pressure compressed its lungs.

- The Premium Edition series is larger than the standard models. What was the concept behind the sculpting and coloring?
- Brachiosaurus is one of the largest dinosaurs, so I wanted it to have an impressive size that would stand out among the other models in the series. I also chose subdued colors suited to its size and weight.
- Brachiosaurus is a representative giant herbivorous dinosaur. What image do you have of it?
- When I was a child, Brachiosaurus was synonymous with the giant dinosaur that was “the heaviest” and “the tallest.” Today, it is depicted with a lower neck and a lighter body, giving it a somewhat more slender image.
- Compared with the regular Brachiosaurus Vinyl Model, this version differs not only in size but also in style. Was there anything you paid particular attention to when creating it?
- I also like Brachiosaurus with its neck held high, but this model follows the latest interpretation with the neck held lower. Even so, I paid close attention to the fine scales and wrinkles to convey the enormous presence I associate with Brachiosaurus while keeping it natural-looking.
