Collectible Dinosaur Figures Made with Soft Material
A PVC figure of Carnotaurus, the “meat-eating bull” from South America during the Late Cretaceous, distinguished by a pair of horns above its eyes. Its collectible size makes it enjoyable both for play and display.
Carnotaurus
Classification: Saurischia/Theropoda/Abelisauridae
Size: Total length8〜9meters
Period: Late Cretaceous
The name Carnotaurus means “meat-eating bull” and refers to the bull-like horns above its eyes. In addition to a nearly complete skeleton, skin impressions have been discovered, providing valuable evidence of the appearance of a large carnivorous dinosaur. Its head was unusually short in the snout, with its length and height almost equal. In contrast to its long hind limbs adapted for running, its forelimbs were highly reduced; although it had four fingers, its joints kept the palms facing inward.
Interview with Supervisor Kazunari Araki
- Carnotaurus, known for its striking pair of horns, has joined the Soft Model series. Mr. Araki, what are your impressions of this dinosaur?
- South American dinosaurs often have unusual forms, and Carnotaurus is a distinctive carnivorous dinosaur. It was well known among dinosaur enthusiasts, but became much more widely recognized after appearing as a villain in Disney’s film Dinosaur.

- Carnotaurus
- What image inspired the pose?
- As with the other Soft Models, I avoided an overly dramatic pose so the figure can fit a variety of settings and collections, while still conveying the ferocity of a carnivorous dinosaur.
- Carnotaurus
- I chose a color that would not overlap too much with other dinosaurs in the Soft Model series while still expressing the character of the species. This purple color is quite innovative, isn’t it? (laughs)
- Finally,Carnotaurus About the Soft ModelPlease share your comments.。
- Carnotaurus is the first South American carnivorous dinosaur in the Soft Model series. We hope you will add it to your collection—and perhaps request South American sauropods next!
