The Dinosaur Paint Model allows you to paint freely and create your own original dinosaur. Thank you for the many entries to our 20th Paint Contest.

This 20th Paint Contest received a record number of entries, which made all of us staff members very happy. From small children to adults, every entry was a masterpiece. We hope that painting can be an opportunity to foster a spirit of inquiry and curiosity.

I paid special attention to the blue lines and patterns,
especially the pupils of the eyes.
I took a photo of the Giganotosaurus protecting its eggs.

This well-balanced Giganotosaurus was created with a blue base and harmonizing colors.
The green and black patterns provide effective accents, tying the whole piece together.
Upon closer look, the patterns seem to tell a story.

I aimed for a Giganotosaurus that looked dangerous and ferocious.
Using black and red, I made it flashy but also aimed for it to be believable that such a creature might have existed.
I painted each scale with slightly different shades. I also made the base a bit like a diorama to give it a sense of realism.

The detailed painting of the head and patterns also shows great care.

 

SHAW

I finished everything with brush painting. In keeping with the swimming version, I painted it to evoke a scene of a Spinosaurus diving into the water, chasing prey. I hope the shimmering water I painted on its body comes through. Also, the muscle sculpting was beautiful, so I tried to bring out its contours. It was a very enjoyable model to paint, with the brush flowing smoothly.

I'm a 5-year-old girl!
My favorite dinosaur is Triceratops⭐︎
I drew a rough sketch to expand my imagination
and worked hard mixing different colors to paint it!

A colorful and adorable Diplodocus was born, with a blue, red, and black base accented by polka dots. It's great how the dot patterns change depending on the base color.
This is a unique paint model piece that expresses the girl's personality.

I made the left and right sides different designs. The side in the photo represents the inside of the sea with its patterns.

I live in Nagasaki, and there's a kite there called "hata" with beautiful patterns. I thought it would be nice if pterosaurs had these patterns, so I made them like this.

"Monesaurus"

A dinosaur that lives in water... Mosasaurus... Mosa... Mone! The idea just popped into my head.
I painted water lilies on the Mosasaurus as a canvas, and deliberately left out flowers in the frame.
I used a toothpick for the fine details.
It was fun!
