"Always Together" Cute Dinosaur Plush Mascot
This T-Rex mini mascot with a ball chain features a cute, deformed shape while still retaining its distinctive features such as its head shape, small forelimbs, and well-developed hind limbs. You can attach it to your bag or backpack and enjoy taking it with you everywhere.
TyrannosaurusTyrannosaurus
Classification: Saurischia / Theropoda / Tyrannosauridae
Size: 12-14 meters in length
Period: Late Cretaceous
One of the most popular dinosaurs and among the largest terrestrial carnivores ever. Its lower jaw was massive compared to other theropods, suggesting an incredibly powerful bite. Its teeth had characteristic serrations, ideal for tearing flesh from prey. Although its forelimbs were regressed with only two fingers and appeared weak, they were strong enough to pin down prey.
Interview with supervisor Hirokazu Tokugawa
- The dinosaur plush series "Stuffed Model" from Favorite is now available as "Dinosaur Stuffed Model Mini Mascot" in a mascot size of about 15cm. First, please tell us your impression of the series as a whole.
- I had thought from the beginning that if we were going to take on the challenge of making dinosaur plush toys, it would be great to have a mascot size that people could attach to their bags and enjoy more intimately. I'm very happy that my wish came true.
- With the mini mascots, we tried to retain as much of the characteristics of the dinosaurs that we valued in the regular-sized products as possible, while scaling them down to a smaller size. I imagine there are some parts where the impression changes due to the smaller size. Compared to the regular-sized products, what differences do you notice?
- As the size gets smaller, the design constraints become greater than with regular-sized products. Therefore, it was necessary to design in a way that emphasized the characteristics of each dinosaur more, and we re-examined the fabric and pile length for that expression. I think we were able to create a cute design that, while still highlighting the characteristics of each dinosaur, is different from the regular-sized products.
- Finally, please give a message to those who will pick up these mini mascots.
- Many participants in my dinosaur workshops and lectures, as well as visitors to museums and dinosaur exhibitions, attach dinosaur goods to their bags and backpacks. I would be very happy if these mini mascots could join their collection as one of the items they wear when attending such dinosaur events.
