Iguanodon
Classification: Ornithischia/Ornithopoda/Iguanodontidae
Size: Total length 7–9 meters
Period: Early Cretaceous
Iguanodon was discovered early in the history of dinosaur research and was among the first dinosaurs named, by Gideon Mantell in 1825. Its name means “iguana tooth,” referring to the resemblance of its teeth to those of an iguana. A spike-like thumb claw is one of its distinctive features, and footprints suggest it often walked on all fours. Numerous iguanodontian teeth and other fossils have also been found in the Tetori Group of Ishikawa and Fukui prefectures in Japan.

- I think the colors suit a herbivorous dinosaur well and could provide camouflage in deep forests or woodland. Some herbivorous dinosaurs may have had protective coloring to hide from carnivores.
- Finally,Iguanodon About the Vinyl ModelPlease share your comments.。
- Although it is sculpted walking on all fours, that is one of the advantages of the Vinyl Model: you can stand it on two legs and stage a battle against a carnivorous dinosaur using the spike-like thumb claw on its forelimb!
