The "DinoScience Dinosaur Science Expo ~The Story of Dinosaurs on Laramidia Continent~ 2024@OSAKA" is being held at Namba Skyo in Namba, Osaka, starting Saturday, July 13, 2024. This interactive dinosaur exhibition, previously held in Yokohama and Roppongi, is now making its Kansai debut. It showcases skeletal specimens recreated using the latest technology and approaches the appearance of dinosaurs from a scientific perspective.
The museum shop will also begin selling vinyl dinosaur models in venue-exclusive colors, as well as soft models and painted models. This time, as a special edition of Shop Info., we will report on the venue and its attached shop.

The highlight of this exhibition is a Triceratops nicknamed "LANE."
It is a skeletal specimen, almost entirely complete, housed at the Houston Museum of Natural Science in the USA.
Based on the size of its bones, a juvenile Triceratops skeleton that has never been discovered before has been recreated, and the adventure of this young Triceratops is depicted in a story-like exhibition.
Photography is permitted throughout most of the venue, so you can take commemorative photos with the dinosaurs.

In addition, there are skeletal specimens of Tyrannosaurus and Quetzalcoatlus, familiar from Favorite's products, as well as real fossils. The exhibition uses light, shadow, and sound to further highlight the skeletal specimens. It's unique to such events to be able to experience their actual size.
There's also an interactive corner where children can "perform" with dinosaur shadows projected on a screen, and they were joyfully running around with the dinosaurs. On weekends, workshops are held where families can enjoy a mini-skull model paint kit.

Many customers with children visited the merchandise corner and purchased venue-exclusive vinyl models and goods. The Triceratops venue-exclusive vinyl model, a highlight of the exhibition, was particularly popular.

There's also a large sign near the entrance of Namba Ebisubashi-suji, which adds to the excitement.
The exhibition runs until Sunday, September 1, 2024, so please bring your children during their summer vacation for a dinosaur experience.
