The "Excavation! Dinosaur Kingdom Exhibition" started at Shinjuku Takashimaya on Friday, July 12, 2024. After that, it was held at JR Nagoya Takashimaya, and is currently being held at Osaka Takashimaya until Monday, September 2nd.
This time, we will introduce a little about the venue and shop currently being held at Osaka Takashimaya.
The "Excavation! Dinosaur Kingdom Exhibition" is divided into 5 ZONES and offers various contents. There are so many exhibits that you won't feel like you're in a department store, and you'll be amazed.
First, a large balloon dinosaur is displayed in front of the entrance.

Since it is located in front of the entrance, anyone can see it, and many customers were taking commemorative photos. Of course, the Favorite staff also took a commemorative photo 📷.

"ZONE 1: Dinosaur Kingdom of the World."
Here, you can learn about various dinosaur secrets, such as moving T-Rexes, large skulls, and touchable fossils. There are easy-to-understand explanations, so even children can have fun learning.
The T-Rex face next to the skull is a photo spot.

"ZONE 2: Japan's Dinosaur Kingdom FUKUI."
Models of Fukuiraptor and a moving model of Fukuivenator are exhibited, along with explanations of excavation methods in Fukui.
The moving Fukuivenator is amazing not only in its movement but also in the quality of its feathers.

"ZONE 3: Fossil Discovery!"
Unfortunately, I cannot show you images here, but this is a ZONE where you can experience virtual excavation using excavation tools.
Please come and experience it for yourself.

"ZONE 4: Dinosaurs of Fukui."
Although ZONE 2 was also about Fukui dinosaurs, this area features full skeletons lined up, making it a delightful exhibit for dinosaur fans.
Full skeletons of three species—Fukuiraptor, Fukuisaurus, and Fukuivenator—are displayed, along with a large fossil of Fukuititan. The three species arranged together create quite an impressive sight.

"ZONE 5: Dinosaurs of Fukui."
The Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum was renovated in July last year, allowing visitors to experience fossil research. This ZONE explains the appeal of the museum.
There is also a diorama of the Katsuyama forest, where you can once again feel the grandeur of the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum.

After exiting ZONE 5, you'll reach the much-anticipated goods area. But before that, there's an unmissable photo spot in Fukui.

After passing the must-see spot, you will finally reach the goods sales area.
The sales area offers a wide variety of Favorite products, including vinyl models, soft models, mini models, stationery, and accessories.
Various other dinosaur goods are also sold. The goods sales area is open to everyone, so please feel free to visit.

Of course, limited edition goods from the Dinosaur Kingdom Exhibition were also on sale.

Finally.
This time, in addition to viewing, there are also family-friendly stamp rallies, excavation experiences, and workshops.
From Thursday, August 22nd to Monday, August 26th, a workshop using Favorite's paint kit is being held.
Participants are encouraged to take a photo of their painted dinosaur and post it.
