Event Info.: Ornithischian Exhibition: Secrets of Plant-Eating Dinosaur Bones

Dinosaurs are broadly divided into two groups based on the characteristics of their pelvis: "Saurischians" and "Ornithischians." Ornithischians were named for the bird-like characteristics of their pelvis. This group includes many herbivorous dinosaurs such as Triceratops, Ankylosaurus, and Stegosaurus. Since 2006, fossils of bones and teeth from various types of Ornithischians have been discovered in the Tamba region.
This exhibition introduces Ornithischian fossils discovered in the Tamba region and delves into the secrets of these dinosaurs with their mysterious bone features, such as sword-like spikes, tails with hammer-like clubs, armor covering their entire bodies, prominent horns and frills on their heads, and jaws with hundreds of teeth, by comparing them to the bones of modern humans.
