For Display: Fish Habitat Vol. 3

The Aqua Fish series features realistic figures of fish living in the wild.
The beautiful moment, as if a snapshot of an active pose, is depicted along with the scenery.
The Yamame, a representative species of native trout, is known as the "queen of mountain streams."
The joy of Yamame fishing lies in immersing oneself in nature and facing the fish.
"Happy to catch, happy to encounter."
This is the ideal figure, imbued with such sentiments.

[Yamame]

Cherry Trout

Classification: Order Salmoniformes/Family Salmonidae/Genus Oncorhynchus

Size: Approx. 20-40cm in length

Also written as "山女" or "山女魚" due to its feminine beauty. It is a representative stream fish and popular among many anglers. Its body is adorned with blue parr marks, which vary in shape among individuals. The markings gradually fade as the fish grows. It spends its entire life in the same river and inhabits cold water areas upstream, but lives in lower reaches than Iwana. It preys on crustaceans, small fish, aquatic insects, and terrestrial insects that fall into the river.
