The Tottori Sand Dunes are vast sand dunes stretching along the Sea of Japan coast in Tottori City. They have been designated as a Special Natural Monument and are one of Japan's 100 Geological Sites.

It is a popular tourist destination where visitors can enjoy camel rides, paragliding, and sandboarding.

For this painting, I drew inspiration from the sand dunes and even depicted geological strata.
