Let's Painting: Tyrannosaurus in Your City Vol. 21

Painting a Tyrannosaurus rex inspired by your city to conquer all 47 prefectures
The 21st installment is Iwate Prefecture

I've envisioned Iwate Prefecture, taking inspiration from the "Kappa," a yokai said to appear in Kappa-buchi in Tono City.

Kappa are well-known among Japanese yokai.
In Tono City, Iwate Prefecture, there's a legend that many kappa once lived in a stream called Kappa-buchi.

If you obtain a Kappa Capture Permit, you can enjoy kappa fishing with cucumbers as bait.
With their love of cucumbers, the plate on their head, short beak, and shell on their back, their strong character often leads them to be depicted with a charming appearance, and they are popular as mascots for regions and companies.

And surprisingly, a kappa-colored Tyrannosaurus rex doesn't look out of place!
