Let's Painting: Your City's Tyrannosaurus vol. 22

Paint a Tyrannosaurus rex inspired by your city and conquer all 47 prefectures!
The 22nd stop is Gunma Prefecture.

Gunma Prefecture is known as Japan's best Haniwa prefecture due to the large number and high quality of haniwa excavated there.
So, we imagined Gunma Prefecture with haniwa as the motif.

Approximately 40% of the haniwa designated as national treasures and important cultural properties were excavated in Gunma Prefecture.

Haniwa are mainly unglazed earthenware, arranged on or around kofun (ancient burial mounds) for rituals and warding off evil.

There are various unique haniwa, such as those that are smiling, fully armed warriors, and people riding horses.

For the haniwa-like Tyrannosaurus, we created a profound atmosphere by adding depth to a simple color scheme.

We also gave it a matte finish to reproduce the texture of excavated earthenware.
The haniwa-like eyes are also a key feature.
