Real dinosaurs in the forest
Dino Adventure Nagoya is one of the few places where you can walk through a forest and feel like an explorer, getting up close and personal with moving dinosaurs. It is located in a corner of the vast Odaka Ryokuchi Park in Midori Ward, Nagoya City, truly nestled in the woods. It gives the impression of a theme park in a jungle. I went to experience the "realism" that only an outdoor setting can provide.

Within the vast forest, there are not only playground equipment but also boats, day campsites, tennis courts, and many other elements to enjoy outdoors. It's also close to central Nagoya, making it easily accessible on a nice day. Both adults and children can play to their heart's content.

The key is that you walk yourself, and the dense trees created by nature combine with the dinosaurs to give you a realistic sense of exploration. The plants, which create an atmosphere as if dinosaurs might jump out at any moment, are an important element that enhances the dinosaurs. The paths are mostly paved, so it's safe for strollers and small children.
It's easy to miss, but there are also dinosaur-themed designs on the roads, showing attention to detail.

The mighty Tyrannosaurus, with its commanding presence, and its companion Triceratops. They greet you on an overwhelming scale.
The Tyrannosaurus's sharp claws and skin details are impressive. You can enjoy a powerful angle from directly below.
The majestic Triceratops glares at the Tyrannosaurus.
Pachycephalosaurus
The Pachycephalosaurus performs a headbutt with its distinctive head.
Deinonychus VS Tenontosaurus
This scene tells a story. Beyond this Deinonychus is a Tenontosaurus. We encountered them in the midst of a hunt.
Corythosaurus
Also, pay attention to the baby Corythosaurus at your feet.
Megalosaurus
An unexpectedly shocking scene.
Dilophosaurus
The Dilophosaurus with its lustrous paint not only emits sound from a speaker but also makes noise by stomping its feet. The realistic sound makes you jump.

As a gimmick to enhance the sense of adventure, the dinosaurs you encounter move when you approach them. Instead of being displayed on screens or large panels, this unique way of showcasing them emphasizes the "dinosaur expedition" element, making it especially enjoyable. The "moving" element is easy for children to understand and keeps them captivated. And when they move, there are also dinosaur roaring sound effects. The echoing roars are thrilling.

It's in the forest, after all. There are magnificent trees like sawtooth oaks and konara oaks that will make you smile.
