Special Exhibition: "Ice Age - The World Humans Saw 40,000 Years Ago"

Closed: None
Travel back in time to the Ice Age 40,000 years ago!
The Ice Age 40,000 years ago, much colder than today, was a time when humans and giant animals like mammoths coexisted.
Some of them went extinct, while others survived. This exhibition explains about the animals and humans that lived during this period and delves into the mysteries of the Ice Age that determined their fates. Don't miss the real Neanderthal and Cro-Magnon skulls, exhibited for the first time in Japan. Come and experience the sheer size of the giant animals that lived during the Ice Age!
*What is the Ice Age? A period when vast ice sheets, thick masses of ice covering land, existed. It has alternated between "glacial periods," which are cold and when ice sheets grow large, and "interglacial periods," which are relatively warm and when ice sheets retreat, in cycles of approximately 100,000 years.
