See a lifetime's worth of birds?! Special Exhibition

The Osaka Museum of Natural History, in co-sponsorship with Nikkei Inc. and TV Osaka, will hold the special exhibition "Birds ~New Avian Phylogeny Revealed by Genome Analysis~" from Saturday, March 14, 2026, to Sunday, June 14, 2026.
This exhibition will explain the diverse evolution of birds by introducing the unique body structures and ecology of avian species, based on the latest phylogenetic classification revealed by genome analysis. Additionally, there will be an Osaka-exclusive exhibit titled "For Osaka Bay to Remain a Habitat for Birds," which will highlight the current situation and future of Osaka Bay, an important staging point for migratory birds and a valuable breeding ground for waterfowl, where birds strive to continue their lineage. This exhibition offers an enjoyable learning experience about all things birds for both adults and children.
