Wiwaxia
Wiwaxia was an oval-shaped creature whose body was covered with scale-like structures, and had a single row of sword-like spines on each side. It had limbs on its underside and crawled along the seabed searching for food. It is also believed that the surface of the scales on its back had fine, regularly spaced grooves that reflected light, giving it an iridescent structural coloration (rainbow colors) like a jewel beetle.

Hallucigenia
When it was first discovered, Hallucigenia was such an enigmatic creature that it was reconstructed upside down. Later, related species were found in the Chengjiang Biota in China, and it was then reconstructed in its current form. It had a long, slender body with seven pairs of thin legs and long defensive spines protruding upwards. Recent research has confirmed that it had a pair of eyes and a mouth with teeth, indicating that it was not as bizarre a creature as once thought.

Pikaia
Pikaia is one of the organisms that provides evidence for the origin of vertebrates, including humans, during the Cambrian explosion. It had a pair of tentacles at the front of its body, a single notochord running through its body, and a tail that fanned out above and below. Like modern lancelets, Pikaia was pelagic and swam actively by wriggling its body.
