Let's Paint: Tyrannosaurus in Your Town Vol. 20

Painting a Tyrannosaurus rex inspired by your city and conquering all 47 prefectures
The 20th prefecture is Kanagawa.

Kanagawa Prefecture is envisioned with a "Sukajan" (souvenir jacket) born in Yokosuka as its motif.

Sukajan jackets were popular souvenirs for American soldiers stationed in Yokosuka after the war.
They are characterized by flashy and elaborate embroidery based on stadium jackets, which were familiar to Americans.

"Yokosuka Jumper" was shortened to "Sukajan," and it has a unique worldview as a Western-style garment originating in Japan.

Today, it continues to be cherished as a fashion item.

The Tyrannosaurus rex wearing a custom Sukajan jacket with dinosaur embroidery looks quite good.
