2025 is the Year of the Snake.

The motif for our annual zodiac color paint project is the mamushi, a poisonous snake with distinctive patterns familiar in Japan. We immediately painted it onto a Tyrannosaurus.

We painted the unique coin-like patterns all over its body. We slightly varied the shape of each pattern to create irregularity, aiming for a natural finish.

When viewed from directly above, it looks like a mamushi.

Are the sharp eyes common to both the Tyrannosaurus?
