"Jurassic World: Dominion," the sequel to "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom," is slated for release in the summer of 2022, and the announcement of the Giganotosaurus's appearance has made it a somewhat hot topic among dinosaurs.

A large carnivorous dinosaur that lived in South America during the Late Cretaceous period, it is a relatively new dinosaur, with its first fossils discovered in 1993. Its skull alone measured 1.8m, making it larger than a Tyrannosaurus, but its overall shape was slender, and its jaw strength is not thought to have been enough to crush bones. Since multiple individuals' fossils were found together, it is presumed that they hunted in packs and targeted large sauropods like Argentinosaurus. Carcharodontosaurus, which lived in northern Africa, is a close relative.
