Giganotosaurus

Giganotosaurus was a large carnivorous dinosaur that lived in South America during the Late Cretaceous period. It is a relatively new dinosaur, with the first fossils discovered in 1993. Its skull alone was 1.8 meters long, making it larger than Tyrannosaurus rex, but its overall shape was slender, and its jaw strength was not thought to be powerful enough to crush bones. The discovery of multiple individual fossils grouped together suggests that they hunted in packs, and their prey may have included large sauropods like Argentinosaurus. Carcharodontosaurus, which lived in northern Africa, is a closely related species, and this is considered evidence that the two continents were once connected by land.

The Dominator of South America
Against Tyrannosaurus rex, the king of North America and a dinosaur synonymous with the species, the Giganotosaurus, the dominator of South America during the Late Cretaceous, is a worthy rival. Giganotosaurus is also slated to appear in the upcoming 2022 film "Jurassic World Dominion," so its future activity is certainly something to watch.
A Giant Body that Surpasses Tyrannosaurus?
Giganotosaurus is estimated to have been 12-14 meters in length, and is believed to have been a large carnivorous dinosaur with a body size comparable to, or even exceeding, Tyrannosaurus rex. Its large, sharp head was lined with finely serrated, sharp teeth, and it had three-fingered forelimbs with claws.
A Recently Discovered New Dinosaur
In 1993, a local amateur fossil hunter discovered a tibia in Patagonia, Argentina. The holotype skeleton is displayed at the Ernesto Bachmann Paleontological Museum along with the tools used during its excavation.
Let's imagine its size
